ABA’s Survey About Cochlear Implants

  • ABA News

Cochlear implants have changed rapidly since the American Board of Audiology (ABA) began its Cochlear Implant Specialty Certification® (CISC) in 2005. Over time, the need and cost for updating the certification exam could not be balanced with the numbers of those seeking and maintaining the certification, so the exam was discontinued in 2018 and the ABA evaluated other options.

The ABA has developed a survey to identify educational needs and explore ways to serve audiologists working in this specialty area. The purpose of this survey is solely explorational and will be used for future planning. Additional surveys in other specialty areas may be circulated in the future.

We ask that you complete the brief survey and share the link with your colleagues specializing in cochlear implants.
